In this project I will show you how to easily connect with your own camera, lights, screen by using raspberry pi 3. Importance of raspberry pi 3 in this project. Interference of other hardware in this project.
The start of the flow work is to understand the importance of raspberry pi 3. There are some requirements to execute the task. To connect with the raspberry pi 3 to camera and screen. We have a need of a HDMI cable through which we connect the screen. Camera has its own ribbon cable which is connection cable between raspberry pi and camera. The LCD screen have own input 12v supply and raspberry have own .the camera operate on due to raspberry pi. We also use ir lights in our project. IR lights are fixed in the headlights of car its connection with fog light button when we on fog lights automatically the IR lights also on.

3.5Hardware building procedure
We use techify 7 inch HDMI LCD. First we run the LCD with the help of its adopter. Then we connect led with raspberry pi through HDMI cable. Shown in fig 1.8
Its use as an output device
LCD gives us the display and gives us the camera out video.
This is the easiest and most reliable method of connecting an external screen to your Raspberry Pi. HDMI is a video standard created in the early 2000’s which has supports 1080p High Definition (HD) and 2 channel (stereo) audio. It’s a plug and play standard, which means there’s no special drivers to install and no fiddling to get it to work. You simply power down your Pi, plug either end of an HDMI cable into the HDMI port on your Pi, and the other into the HDMI port on your display.
IR camera is also connect with raspberry pi. That’s allow a person to view the scene to be recorded. Shown in fig (1.9)
IR camera connection procedure
Using the camera software
Once your Raspberry Pi computer has rebooted, you can login again and run the camera software to take photographs or record video.
1. Online help (gives you all of the command-line options available) [email protected] ~ $ /opt/vc/bin/raspicam
2. Taking a simple photograph [email protected] ~ $ /opt/vc/bin/raspicam –o file.jpg
3. Recording a simple video [email protected] ~ $ /opt/vc/bin/raspivid –o file.h264 Please note that when recording video the camera module will not record any sound – this unit will only capture HD video images only.
4. Taking some time lapsed images (in this case the images are 30ms apart) [email protected] ~ $ /opt/vc/bin/raspicam –tl 30 –o file%d.jpg
Note the filename – the %d will be replaced with an integer (creating file1.jpg, file2.jpg etc). This software will continue taking images until you press ‘CTRL-C’ to terminate the program.
5. Using the image effects when taking photographs or capturing video This command will take a picture in ‘negative’ [email protected] $ /opt/vc/bin/raspicam –ifx negative –o negative_image.jpg.
For a full list of image effects when taking photographs type:
[email protected] ~ $ /opt/vc/bin/raspicam
To read the help screen and all available command line options.

3.7Raspberry pi 3
Raspberry pi 3 is the main component of this project. we connect all devices (lcd, camera) with the help of this device raspberry pi is semi computer or operating device.RISC is the operating system of raspberry pi 3.They operate the camera and give us the view in LCD .Raspberry pi run with simple mobile charger. Shown in fig (1.10)
Configure the Raspberry Pi computer
On first boot, you will be presented with the ‘raspi-config’ menu. There are two options we need to set before we start installing the camera software.
1. Expand the filesystem to fill the SD card
2. Set the memory split to allocate 128 Meg to the GPU
3. Once complete select Finish and then select Yes to reboot the Raspberry Pi computer
Once rebooted you can login to your Raspberry Pi using the following credentials
installing infrared lights in place of your fog lights. IR lights is connect with fog lights connection. We can fixed it on car headlights. When we on the fog lights the IR lights is also on. IR LEDs allow for cheap, efficient production of infrared light, which is electromagnetic radiation in the 700 nm to 1mm range. Shown in fig(1.11)
The most commonly used IR emitters are 850nm and those will glow a visible red color. The less common IR emitters are 940nm and you have to use special IR cameras with the 940nm emitters because most IR capable camera are calibrated for the 840nm emitters.
It would probably be illegal to use the 840nm emitters on the front of your car simply because they emit a red light, albeit a narrow beam of red light that is very dim. It is still a red light emitted out the front of your car and every US state I know of would forbid that. That aside, the effective range of IR emitters is about 50% of the advertised “claimed” range of the emitters, from my experience. I have some IR flood lamps on my property, some have claimed ranges of 450 feet, however the emitter array is about 4″ by 8″ and that is considerably larger than a typical set of fog lamps. further they have an actual useful range of about 200 to 250 feet.
